Silkens are renowned for their outstandlingly good temperament. While they share the aloof nature of most sighthounds, they enjoy being family pets and are happiest with their loved ones. Silkens are easily trainable and eager to please. They require little grooming and are very clean and tidy by nature.
While waiting to take their place in the show ring as an AKC recognized breed, Silkens are participating in lure coursing and racing practices, agility, pet therapy, and performing as service dogs. They excel at delighting their owners and creating their own niche in the sighthound world.
