ISWS Coursing Program
As a rare breed not yet recognized by AKC (and thus not yet
accepted by ASFA
either) ISWS was set with the task of preparing a lure coursing
program so
that the dogs could at least be recognized for their sighthound
abilities
through the use of artificial lure coursing until such time as
Silken
Windhounds are able to compete in AKC or ASFA coursing programs.
The ISWS
coursing program will consist of certifications of coursing instinct,
further testing by running with other dogs similar to the AKC
lure coursing
program, and where possible and sponsoring clubs are amenable
actual lure
coursing competitions judged in rules that are parallel to ASFA
rules.
