ISWS Oval Racing Program
The success of the ISWS straight racing program and our growing coursing program has encouraged the organization to bring oval racing to the Silken Windhound breed. Sighthounds have been participating in oval racing for many years under the auspices of the National Oval Track Racing Association (NOTRA). Our rules follow NOTRA rules and will be familiar to those of you who have raced your other sighthounds at NOTRA meets. The rules are available for download here as is the current grading guide.
Our inaugural oval meet was held in November 2008 in northern California at an RCRA (River City Racing Association) meet. Many thanks go to those clubs who let us run our meets in conjunction with their NOTRA meets.

Forms
The following forms/charts are available for downloading:
- Race Entry Form - includes both quick entry and first-time entered information, plus disclaimer and signature of owner.
- Placing Judge Report - the form that should be used by the Head Line Judge to report the outcome of each race. The form is reproducible with four reports per page.
- Foul Judge Report - the official Foul Judge Report. Each foul judge should report the outcome of every race and foul reports should be turned in to the Race Secretary.
- Race Meet Points - chart giving the scoring for graded, ungraded and puppy races.
- Scoring Sheet - the official record of the draw and outcome of the meet for use by the Race Secretary. Participants may also use the form for their personal records.
